How Vivant Started

My journey in the aesthetic industry began in 1999 when I attended Tricoci University and earned my aesthetics license. From the start, I knew this field was more than just a career—it was a calling. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with countless clients, helping them look and feel their best while watching the industry evolve in incredible ways. Opening Vivant Aesthetics & Wellness in my hometown of Itasca has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my career. It was important to me to bring high-quality, personalized aesthetic care to the community that helped shape who I am. I didn’t want to create just another aesthetic practice—I wanted to build a space where clients feel welcomed, understood, and supported every step of the way. At Vivant, our philosophy is simple yet powerful: enhancement, not alteration. We believe in honoring natural beauty and helping each individual feel like the most refreshed, confident version of themselves. Our treatments are never one-size-fits-all. Instead, we take the time to understand each client’s goals and deliver results that are subtle, effective, and truly empowering. With a trusted team of experienced professionals by my side, Vivant Aesthetics & Wellness is more than a business—it’s a community built on trust, care, and a passion for helping others feel their absolute best.

Brian Rosett - Medical Director

A native of Chicago and an accomplished surgeon, Dr. Rosett has performed thousands of cases during his years of training and practice and has a proven track record of success.

Dr. Rosett grew up in Highland Park, Illinois and then attended Washington University in St Louis, Missouri for his undergraduate education. Thereafter, he matriculated at Rush University in Chicago for medical school followed by five years of general surgery residency at Wayne State University at the Henry Ford hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He then returned to Chicago for his plastic surgery residency at the University of Illinois under the guidance of Dr Mimis Cohen. There he learned the fundamentals of plastic surgery and developed a keen interest in the treatment of skin and breast cancer.

Thereafter, Dr Rosett completed two advanced fellowships in aesthetic face, breast and body surgery in Los Angeles, California. Dr Rosett was fortunate to have learned from some of Beverly Hills leaders in aesthetic surgery through his breast and body fellowship at the Beverly Hills Physicians practice. He then studied under Dr Ben Talei a world renowned aesthetic facial plastic surgeon focusing on nonsurgical and surgical facial aesthetics. Dr Rosett brings many of the field’s newest techniques back to Chicago including advanced facial aesthetics such as the lip lift.

Having grown up in the windy city, Dr Rosett brings an earnest midwestern sensibility to both the office and the operating room. At the center of his medical philosophy is the belief that strong communication leads to the best experience and outcomes.

His patients often remark that his kindness and demeanor helped ease their stress and anxiety. Dr. Rosett’s hope for every patient is a surgical success that boosts their self-esteem allowing them to live more confident and fulfilling lives.

Dr Rosett is a board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Jessica Setlak, FNP-D

With over 15 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, Jessica brings a deep foundation in acute care, diagnostic precision, and rapid decision-making to a more personalized, root-cause approach to health. As a Board-Certified Family Nurse practitioner, she has treated thousands of patients across all ages and acuity labels, often at critical moments. 
 
Now practicing in the field of functional and longevity medicine, Jessica integrates her conventional medical background with cutting-edge strategies in preventive care, metabolic optimization, hormone balancing, gut health, and anti-aging therapies. Her approach emphasizes individualized care plans, data-driven diagnostics, and evidence-based lifestyle interventions to support long-term vitality and optimal health. 
 
Driven by a passion for getting to the “why” behind symptoms, she works closely with patients to restore balance, enhance resilience, and prevent chronic disease-not just manage it. 

Jamie DeFilippis, Founder and Medical Aesthetician

Jamie DeFilippis, a goal-oriented and results-driven manager of Vivant Aesthetics, has embraced her career in the medical spa industry for over two decades. Cultivating great relationships with clients, as well as staying involved in her community, show Jamie’s dependable and reliable character frequently discussed by peers and other highly respected individuals in the industry.  Jamie successfully managed other medical spa facilities prior to Vivant Aesthetics where her dedication to her position led to tremendous success in optimizing profitability, expansion of offered services as well as recruitment of highly skilled employees facilitating superior performance.  Expert in maximizing efficiency and exceeding expectations for clients, Jamie stays motivated to provide great customer service and stay up to date with the rapidly evolving aesthetic industry.  Dedication to success and belief in teamwork effort led to forming honorable relationships with coworkers and physicians in the industry.  Implementing marketing techniques, and creating new strategies for running a newly opened Vivant Aesthetics, are a few of the many roles Jamie has taken as a general manager.  

Outside of work, Jamie is a happy mom of three boys and is busy attending her children’s school functions and sporting events. To some, it may be difficult to manage a medical spa while at the same time running a household, yet Jamie is loving the challenge.  Being a leader with a passion for greatness, she is able to handle all that comes her way.  

Laine Broder, RN

With over 28 years of experience, Laine has dedicated her career to the art and science of aesthetic medicine. She began her journey in dermatology and went on to spend more than a decade in plastic surgery, gaining in-depth knowledge of skin health, surgical procedures, and advanced laser treatments. This dual background gives her a unique, comprehensive perspective that allows her to create highly customized, results-driven treatment plans for each patient.
Laine specializes in all neurotoxins, HA fillers, and biostimulatory injectables, with a focus on achieving natural, balanced results. She believes in treating the whole self—not just the face—because true beauty starts from within. Her approach often includes collaborating closely with aestheticians and guiding patients toward wellness solutions such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT), peptides, and GLP-1s.
Whether someone is just beginning their aesthetic journey or looking to elevate their current routine, Laine is passionate about helping each patient feel their best—mind, body, and spirit.

Anne Marie, Ramult Registered Nurse

With 24 years of experience in solely Aesthetic Nursing, Anne Marie is a renowned expert injector and Clinical Aesthetic Trainer. She is a compassionate practitioner dedicated to helping clients achieve natural results with the highest standards of patient care and safety. Anne Marie strongly advocates for patient education, believing that informed clients make the best decisions about their care. She is deeply committed to providing customized, individualized, compassionate, results-driven care in a safe environment.

Anne Marie is an esteemed international clinical trainer who has worked with top aesthetic companies such as Merz, Sciton, In Mode, BTL, and Alma Lasers. She trains eminent plastic surgeons, practitioners, and dermatologists worldwide, sharing her expertise and innovative techniques. Her ability to build relationships and trust with patients and her skill in tailoring individualized treatment plans for diverse skin types (1-6) sets her apart. Anne Marie’s patients often refer to her sessions as “Needle Therapy,” appreciating her artistic eye, meticulous attention to detail, and ethical care, which earn their loyalty and referrals.

With a love for detail and a drive to connect with audiences, I’m eager to bring fresh ideas and creativity to the marketing world. I’ve gained hands-on experience through two internships—one focused on social media marketing and the other on SEO and AI-driven strategies. Along with my digital marketing expertise, I have a minor in art, which fuels my creativity, particularly in design. During my time at Elmhurst, I was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority, where I managed the design of merchandise. I also ran my own clothing brand for a little over a year, creating and promoting my custom designed hoodies on social media.

Victoria Zurkowski, FNP-C

Victoria Zurkowski, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping clients achieve their healthiest, most confident selves. With a strong background in both primary care and aesthetic medicine, Victoria brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to every treatment. She graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has accumulated over 20 years of experience in both hospital and clinical settings.

At Vivant she specializes in medical weight loss tailored to each individual’s goals and lifestyle. From advanced metabolic evaluations to customized nutrition and wellness plans, Victoria is dedicated to guiding clients through safe, sustainable weight loss journeys—while also offering supportive, non-judgmental care.

Victoria also provides expert cosmetic injectables, including Botox/Dysport, to smooth wrinkles and enhance natural beauty with subtle, refreshed results. Her approach is always tailored, compassionate, and grounded in creating real, lasting confidence for every client.
